An American Weekend

Hey Ya'll! I hope your Fourth was a blast!

We headed up to Daytona last weekend to visit family and to attend the Daytona Coke Zero 400. Wooohooo!
I had never been to a NASCAR race before and I loved it. Thanks again Uncle Bill!
I felt so American this weekend, and of course Husband was happy as a pig in you-know-what :)

We started out the race in the parking lot. Everyone there was very patriotic.

Husband and the girls pose on the bridge over to the track.

We walked around a bit and ran into #21 Trevor Bayne!
Husband tried to get his hat signed but there were too many fans.

Here I am arguing with an elderly woman about women and racing.
Of course women belong on the race track - especially if they are as awesome as Danica Patrick!

The boys had cigars.

And we looked at some cars.

Not sure what they are discussing here...

And then we walked through this tunnel to go see what was on the other side.

We checked out the track and then relaxed a bit while Martina McBride sang.

Brittany, Me and Mom pose in front of Trevor Bayne's car.

The Grandstand.

It was a long, hot day.

We headed to our seats.

And watched the loud cars go fast! Shake and Bake!!

I can't wait to go back!

Sunday we spent the day at my Aunt Carole's house eating and swimming and lighting things on fire.

Brittany looks cute with a cupcake.

Dad and Uncle.

Mom and T by the pool.

Aunt C.
Grandma and Mom.

Lorraine and Uncle Bill lovin the noodles.

It was a nice end to a great weekend. We had a wonderful Fourth of July and I hope you did too!
