Willie/Thanks

Willie is....not much different.

He seems to be a little grassier on the left side though.

I always have a lot to be thankful for. Only for some reason when I do this I keep it simple.
What are you all thankful for?

This week I am Thankful for:

1. The husband

2. Laziness

3. Hope (not in a hope and change kind of way, but in my own way)

4. The ability to be creative and thrifty

Weekend Time

This is what I'll be working on this weekend.
It is Brittany's photo key hanger that she has been asking for forever.

Honestly, I started this Monday and I haven't touched it since...but this weekend is your weekend Brittany. I promise!

Hello There

Sorry I haven't been around. I have been lazy lately.
I said to Kevin last night..."I am not doing anything that I am supposed to be doing and I am happy with it." He said, "OK" :)

So, I will start getting back to normal maybe tomorrow. Cheryl, I promise I haven't forgotten about your special prize. It is almost done!

No news on the job front yet. We are praying hard over here.

One last thing....Valentine's Day is coming up. Don't slack and buy something at the last minute!
Show your Mother or special lady that you LOVE her and give her a heart shaped SHELL WREATH. She will think of the ocean and you every time she sees it. It just so happens that I specialize in these so it's your lucky day!!!

Do the right thing.

Friday

Happy Friday everyone!

Kevin and I have a very big weekend ahead of us. We are heading back over to Sanibel Island to pursue a prospective Attorney position for husband.

You all know Kevin has been looking for jobs for quite some time.
We are hoping and praying that this one will work out and if not, lead us to something that will.

That said, we hope everyone has a great, relaxing and fun weekend.

See you Monday

Food Lovers

Here is something to do. I got this idea from Annechovie's blog.

I am supposed to bold the foods I have tried and cross out the ones I would never try. Turns out I don't know how to cross out, so I will star the ones I would never eat!

Kevin and I loooove food, as I am sure most people do. We watch a lot of food shows and our current favorite is Man VS. Food. You should watch it. It's great fun.

Albert hasn't seen this yet, but this is his manly prize for playing and winning Where in the World is Cheryl.

Stay tuned for another chance to win a cool prize like this one in the days ahead. And Albert, it's on it's way!

Accessories

You can't have a cool bike unless you have a cool bike basket.

So I made this over the weekend.

I hope everyone enjoyed their 3 day weekend as much as we did...

Working Working Working

I have lots of work lately. This is my NEW work area.

It is messy but I like it a lot better than my old work area.

See my double screens? They make me look important, I know.

Late Christmas Gifts

Our good friends Albert and Carolyn have been waiting a long time for their Christmas gifts. After much time and effort, we were finally able to see them this weekend and give them their gifts. They are great friends and they deserve the best sock monkeys around :)
Here they are:

Mom and I working on the last "parts"

Some detail for the monkey tail
Albert can be pretty ghetto sometimes so we wanted his monkey to represent that

Where in the World is Cheryl?

Guess! If you guess correctly, you will get a prize. It will not be cheap or cheesy, it will be good.
This should be pretty easy, so we'll just see if I have any blog followers at all ;)

For a Bonus - what is their slogan???

Friday

I hope everyone has a wonderful and long weekend.
Today I am going to the dentist...sigh.
It is in downtown Ft. Lauderdale.
Here is a picture of Ft. Lauderdale that I took from the 8th floor in a client's building. Maybe I will find some more photo opps today on my way down there.
See you Monday!

Yummmm

I am drinkin it. Right now. Hopefully it will help me with my marathon training tonight.

Gettin' In Shape

Kevin and I are training for a Marathon. OK, it's not really a marathon, it's just a 5k.
Either way, it takes work. And it's in February. I'll let you know how this training goes but for now...here is a picture of my shoes that are quite old.

Ahhhhh...Citrus

Thanks to Kevin's grandparents, we now have delicious fresh squeezed OJ in our house. Kevin's grandparents have orange trees, grapefruit trees and even a pecan tree or two. Whenever we go up to see them, they give us some of these delicious treats. Kevin and I squeezed a bunch of oranges last night and we still have 2 GIANT ziplock bags left! We have plenty of vitamin C in our house - thank you Grandpa and Grandma Gower. We love our OJ :)

Projects

I guess this is my New Year's Resolution, I don't really know but my plan is to clean out every drawer and closet in our condo. So I started last night with the bedroom closet because it was driving me crazy! Can you believe we were even able to fit all this stuff in there? We have about 4 give-away bags and it is much more organized - I'm sure it won't last but I will enjoy it while it does.

Before:

Gross

Here is our termite damage. Sorry to whoever buys this place next - we are not fixing anything else!

So, this is what the floor looks like?!

Now, all the stuff goes back in. It still looks cluttered but it really is much better.

Show Off

Here is my (our) new camera! I had to take a picure if it with my old camera but all the rest of the photos on this blog will be taken with this: Canon EOS XSi, super awesome camera!! Credit for this perfect gift goes to Carol Elmore - THANK YOU SO MUCH!
