Seating on a budget

I know most of you have seen these already but these are my chairs that I recovered.

I bought all 6 chairs from someone on craigslist for $100 bucks.

Then I recovered them and this is what they look like.
They had an ugly floral pattern before.

The moral of the story is....don't pay for expensive chairs when you have no money :)

I Want Some Thing Delicious!

I made a new recipe last night.

I make about one new meal a week.
But I usually don't post them because either I forget or I wasn't that impressed.

However, Husband and I both enjoyed this one. It is from Rachel Ray's latest magazine.
Brittany got me a subscription for Christmas because she knows how much I LOVE food!

So here it is. Very Yummy.

So, I did change some things along the way. For instance, I couldn't find cornmeal so I didn't use it. It wasn't necessay either.
The recipe calls for 2 strips of bacon - anyone who knows me is laughing because I cooked up 8 strips.
I also used less spinach and ricotta and I added onions. Basically it is a pizza so you can do whatever you want with it, right?

Getting Better All The Time

Over the weekend we cought up on a little house work.

It seems as though we are never home for the weekends so this was long coming.

But Saturday night we got an itch to do something fun, soooo...
we called up my mom and sister and made them drive down to Florida City with us to go to Alabama Jacks for some fresh seafood and some drinks.

It was so fun and spontaneous!

Then on Sunday we relaxed and made some minor home repairs.
Kevin put hardware on our self-made bathroom vanity.
Now we can open the drawers without trying to dig our fingernails into the tiny creveces.

AND we put some knobs on our pantry doors. Even with these beautiful knobs, I found myself opening them the old way this morning, by grabbing them by the little vent slats.
I will get used to it.

A close-up.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend too!

Love Is In The Air

Here are some photos that remind me of the ones I love.
You may be asking yourself, Why does a Bloody Mary remind Cheryl of love?
I will tell you why. Because it is red and SPICY!
Every photo in this collage reminds me of special memories that I cherish.
Who or What do you love???

Going Postal

I have been meaning to do this for a while. A whole year actually ;)

Last summer I decided I wanted to take pictures of all of the neat mailboxes I see on Sanibel Island and I made my mother ride around with me to do it.

Well, now I have figured out this collage thing so here they are.
I hope one day I can express myself with a mailbox.

It's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow :)

Some Disney collages for you all.

We found some hidden Mickey's with a little help from a Castmember.

This is what happens after all the fun and fireworks....after a few drinks at a few countries in Epcot...it is inevitable that Kevin bother Brittany just a little bit.

Door Issues

I have this French door. I really love it and Kevin really hates it.
I am supposed to get rid of it now.

Even though I only live in a 1 bedroom condo, I want to keep it.

There mus be something I can do with this door...but WHAT?!

I like it leaning against the wall, just like it is. But this is unacceptable for husband.

Give me some ideas. PLEASE! Otherwise, I will be forced to leave it on the side of the road hopefully for some creative soul to come by and pick up. I would hate to see it get crushed up in the garbage :(
