Dinner on the Docks, Chores, Shells

Since I haven't posted since last week, I am including a few posts in one. Nothing wrong with that is there? ;)

We haven't had Dinner on the Docks in a while so Husband and I did that last week on Thursday.
This may not look so appetizing but it really was. It is hard to screw up pizza.

I love my thermos!

Friday, I cleaned the refrigerator which desperately needed it. Even though I seriously JUST did this about a month ago.

As you can see - there is some sort of liquid that made its way between the glass and the drawers...delicious!

Felix was a great help.

We have more condiments than food to use them on...

Much better, eh?

I also finished up a wreath last week. Here it is on the inside of my front door.

And here it is on the outside.

If you need this shell wreath, check out my etsy shop.
Thanks for stopping by!

Wednesday is Shell Craft Day

I don't know about you all but I have been running around doing way too much. I haven't been able to look at all my favorite blogs and it makes me sad.
It's a good thing I made these early this morning because otherwise it never would've happened. And I am tired now. I hope tomorrow is a more mellow day :)

I found all these little guys on Caladesi Island a couple weeks ago (not the starfish though).

Another project with the Oysters of Rocky Point. The mirror has a couple of nicks in it but I don't think they are too noticeable ;)

Birthday's, Disney & Baseball

Happy Birthday Dad and Mom E!!!!

I am a little late in posting this because of all the activities we have been involved in. Saturday was my Mother-in-law's Birthday and yesterday was my Dad's (I won't tell you how old they are but man, they are old...) OK I couldn't help myself with that one but they know we love them and do NOT think they are old!!

So my poor mom in law has bronchitis and she couldn't be with us over the weekend for Disney. It's probably a good thing though because it is now waaaaay to hot to be there.

Here are Brittany and Mom on Main Street. OK Disney fans - where exactly on Main Street??!

If I had to be a duck, I would be a Disney duck.

We ate at France in Epcot - delicious.

Yesterday my Parents came over for some cake and a Ray's Game.
Check out these candles from Mom E - the flames are different colors!

Dad making his wish...

At the Ray's game (we won by the way)

I have never seen a baseball game indoors. Kinda weird but kinda cool too.

Off to work on some shell projects. Happy Hump Day Ya'll!

A Fresh Start

A woman brought some fresh blueberries into work the other day. She was selling them for $4 - I jumped on it.

So last night I made some muffins from a recipe I found on RecipeZaar. There were about 3 Cups of blueberries in my bag and the recipe calls for 2 1/2. They turned out great - so delicious and perfect with my coffee this morning.

I am enjoying this start to my day. I hope you all have a good start to your Thursday :)

Honeymoon/Caladesi Island

For Memorial Day Weekend we decided to spend some time on the water. Husband and our friend Matt let me pick where we could go this time and I chose Honeymoon Island.
We are trying to explore all of the great beaches and parks in our area and Honeymoon did not let us down.

We launched our kayaks from Honeymoon Island and then explored some of the other nearby islands. We first Kayaked over to Caladesi Island....also beautiful. The water all around us was crystal clear.

The view from Honeymoon Island:

I believe this is Caladesi Island but I'm not sure!
Here are the boys getting ready for some serious fishing.

Husband did pretty well catching bait while I searched for shells.

These Florida Fighting Conchs were everywhere!

We then kayaked over to a smaller island. These Egrets are such characters and they always know where the fish are.

These Horseshoe Crabs were all over this little island. I really had to pay attention to where I was stepping.

This is what they look like upside down ;)

Very sneaky...
Later in the afternoon the waters became a bit choppy for us. We headed out into deeper waters and our friend Matt had an unfortunate incident....he flipped his kayak.
We headed over to help him gather all of his floating belongings but apparently we missed something very important - his fishing pole. Needless to say, we were done for the day after this sad mishap.

Here is Matt crying over his loss:

Even though we had a sad ending, we had a very good day and a great weekend. We are so thankful to be able to spend time in these beautiful areas.

We also remembered all those who currently serve and have served our great Country. Thank you for all that you do and God Bless!

The Florida Aquarium-Tampa

Husband and I had an awesome, long & fun-filled weekend. I hope you all did too!
I have many pics to post of our Sunday but here is what we did on Saturday:

We visited The Florida Aquarium back in college but it was a really quick trip. I have been asking to go again for a while now and on Saturday Husband surprised me with a day there :) There was more to do & see than I remember.

These are look-down fish - one of my favorites because their name is quite literal.

My favorite thing to do was pet the sting rays. They are so soft (some would say slimy) and cute!

There was a whole seahorse area, which I also loved. Can you believe how much this guy looks like seaweed? I'm gonna look a little closer from now on!

We saw alligators in the wetlands area.

And lots of tropical fishes.

We saw a giant blowfish.

They had a penguin show which was so entertaining - partly because of all the little kids asking questions and partly because of the penguins' curious personalities. I want one.

Here I am touching more sea life.

The water was freezing but they had the most beautiful colored starfish in this tank.

If you are ever in the Tampa Bay area I highly recommend heading over to the Aquarium. You will not be disappointed!
