Fun with Food and Shells

Last night Husband and I cooked some delicious dinner.

And then I worked on some shell orders! Sealaura, these are the beginnings of your lights:)

Husband took a neat picture of them:

This is me, hard at work

Kevin cooked some chicken cutlets on the grill along with some mushroom caps which he first tossed in olive oil and fresh chopped garlic.

Delicious. You know, taking pictures of your food adds a lot more work to the whole cooking thing.

We had a very mushroomy meal. I cooked up some mushrooms and onions and put them on french bread, which I first spread a thin layer of pesto on.
They came out pretty well.

What? Lettuce can be pretty.

Bride's Bachelorette

What a great day we had on Saturday. We had so much fun celebrating with Carolyn as she gets closer to her special day.

Here are some photos of how it all went down.

First, a full hour swedish massage at Orian Day Spa on Las Olas Blvd. They were wonderful and relaxing of course. I will be heading back there one day soon ;)

Doesn't she look Bridal?

After our massages, we headed over to the Pelican Beach Resort for some lunch and some poolside relaxation.
Here is the beautiful bachelorette sipping her fancy champagne drink:

I can't help myself.

I think we both felt very important.

When the sun set, we headed over to her sisters house for some food, drinks and games.

Her sister requested that we all bring a cookbook to get Bride started on some delicious recipes. What a great idea!

Her sister also suggested we all do a shot. Also a great idea!

My Husband the Lawyer

OK, a lot happened this weekend. We had a bachelorette party for Bride and Kevin was officially sworn in as a member of the Florida Bar!!! Kevin, I am so unbelievably proud of you and I consider myself a great success as well for marrying a handsome lawyer.

So there will be a lot of updates today.

Here is Kevin taking the Oath of Attorney :)

One Delicious Dish

Kevin and I made this last night for dinner. It is Pesto and Walnut encrusted chicken.

It is a recipe from my latest Rachel Ray magazine. It is actually supposed to be turkey and it is also supposed to have a lemon garnish but whatever. You work with what you got right?

Anyway, it was really good. Very easy and very yummy. Let me know if you want the recipe.

Weekend Update

This weekend Husband was gone on a Bachelor party in Orlando.

It was sad and lonely without him but I did manage to keep myself busy with projects.

I also got to spend some time with my sister. On Saturday night she came over and on Sunday we did some shopping and eating together.

I got these very nice pillows at TJ Maxx (best store ever), with some Birthday money from my grandparents-in-law :)

They make my couch more beautiful and cozy I think.

I also got to work on a shell mirror/hanger

What did you all do this weekend?

I'm Back

So, we went to Disney....again.

But I don't care because we will NEVER be sick of it!

We had a blast and we are putting our annual passes to good use. We got to go to parks that we haven't been to in quite a while.

Here are some pictures:

This is Everest at Animal Kingdom. It was scary. But I did it and then it was fun :)

We just thought this was funny.

I thought these bats were cute

We saw these guys on the safari

Engagiversary

3 years ago today, Kevin proposed to me and made me the happiest woman on earth.

So here is one of our engagement pictures to mark this very special day. This was taken on Hollywood Beach, where it all went down. And it was taken by Albert Yonfa.

I love you Kevin. I will never forget that day.
