Last project of the week. I am tired :)
These 3 mirrors are available here along with everything else I put on the ol blog.
They can be a set or perhaps each little mirror will find a separate home.
I am off to Orlando this weekend. And we hope to head over to Cape Canaveral tonight with our friends to try to catch the shuttle launch. We are praying for a go.
I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed weekend. I know some of you are traveling and I hope wherever you are you can find some peace and quiet along with lots of relaxation.
See you Monday!

For Linda
The latest project is complete! This mirror/hanger was made for Linda at Lime in the Coconut.
It is made entirely of seashells that I picked up while on vacation in Sanibel Island.
It should be on her doorstep any day now and I sure hope she likes it.

Little Things
A tad more decor in the new place...
I need reminders of the ocean and my favorite spots anywhere I can get them-even in the laundry room. I find laundry to be less of a chore this way ;)
My grandmother has been giving me all of her old postcards upon my request. I haven't been able to figure out what exactly I wanted to do with them but I came up with a little something recently.
I decided to put all the Tampa, Clearwater, St. Pete postcards on this medicine cabinet door. It is hanging in the loft where I keep crafts and guests.
Thanks Baker!

Summer Quiz
I was tagged by Cheryl to do this super fun summer quiz. Thanks Cheryl!
I love summer so much, it's a good think I live in Florida where it lasts extra long!
Favorite Summer Movie: Sleeping With The Enemy....love to watch it during a thunderstorm, I don't know why!
Favorite Summer Cocktail: I am pretty much a beer and wine gal so I would have to say, gimme a cold Corona with lime and I am all set.
Favorite Summer Song: Stir it Up - Bob Marley. Nothing says summer to me more than reggae.
Favorite Summer Meal: I love cold pasta salads, especially crab salad. Some shell noodles, red and green peppers, scallions, crab meat and seasonings. Delicious!
Favorite Summer Outfit: Shorts and cute tops, definitely. Sundresses too - and always with sandals. Easy and comfortable.
Favorite Summer Reading: Anything funny and light or anything about Florida. This summer I read Naked by David Sedaris, although I must admit I still haven't finished it. I will though, soon!
Summer Moment: Husband took me to Ellington's on Sanibel Island last summer. He took me there for our first Valentine's date together. We bought a CD and headed to the lighthouse for some moonlight dancing in the parking lot. It was the best.
Here are the rules:
Copy this quiz
Tag ten people
1.Linda
2.Laura
3.Detree
4.Julia
5.Maya
So, I don't really have 10 people to tag either but oh well. If you were not tagged and you would like to do this quiz, I say go ahead and break the rules!!

Seashell Accessories
Just one more way to show off my seashell obsession. I bought this Tervis Tumbler on my vacation in Sanibel.
And I was told some interesting facts about them.
I knew they were made in Florida, which I think is so cool. But I did not know that they are dishwasher safe, they do not sweat water on the outside AND they have lifetime guarantees!
I think I will check out the site and see if there are any for my favorite football team - GO BULLS!

A Quick Trip
My two favorite kids stopped by last night to see us before heading back to North Carolina for school.
We sat on the swing, watched the sunset and barbecued some ribs. It was a great night and I will miss them so much!
Tiny and Daddy(and Pink)
Tiny and Husband (and Pink)
I absolutely adore this picture that husband took of Parker
Even with all the rain yesterday, we had a beautiful sunset

We're Back
It's back to real life now. We all had such a good time in Sanibel, as we always do.
We make lots of memories and take lots of photos. Here are some pictures of the niece and nephew at our annual firehouse visit.
This year, they got to talk to each other on headsets. I totally wanted to do it too...
On top of the truck
He was excited but he still wants to be a train conductor when he grows up
They really paid attention
And we got to hear the sirens
Thanks for the great vacation mom and dad!

One More Week
We have been fortunate enough to spend two weeks in Sanibel this year and we still can't get enough! We are in and out of the pool and ocean all day and the boys have been catching fish left and right. Here are some of the things we have seen so far:
This year, Leatherback Sea turtles hatched on the island. This is the first time in history in both Lee and Collier counties.
We saw this guy heading in to the ocean the other day...we took him to some fresh water instead.
Setting up for shark fishing - no luck just yet.
Tiny, listening to the ocean with a shell to her ear.
The thunderstorms are beautiful
