1920's Gala and Anna Maria Island

Hey everyone - hope your weekend was as fun and adventerous as ours was.
We had something fun to do each day, which is how I like it!

On Friday night, Husband and I did a dinner on the docks across the street from our place.

We rode our bikes across the causeway to explore...

This is the Rusty Pelican. Many couples get married in this beautuful spot.

Near there is a hotel with a nice dock where we managed to set up our dinner :)

Our view. The sound of the waves hitting the rocks is just perfect.

We stayed until dark but it was ok because we had candle.

Saturday night we were invited to a 1920's themed Gala. It was so fun dressing up!
Our good friends Jenn and Alan invited us. Don't they look fabulous?

Husband and I.

The men did some gambling after dinner.

Sunday we decided to go on an adventure. We have so many beautiful spots to visit on this coast of Florida, so we are trying to see something new whenever possible.
We headed over to gorgeous Anna Maria Island.

And we found this perfect spot to swim. You may not be able to tell from here but the sandbar went out for a couple miles and we walked all the way out.

These homes definitely have the best spot!

We brought our bikes so we could explore.
We saw a lot of beautiful homes right on the water...

And we saw a lot of unique homes. I love when people do different things like this and show their personality. Beach toys and drinking...of course those two things go together!

  3. Hi Cheryl,
Love the pic of the fence. Only someone with an artist's heart would see the beauty in that. Love your Sanibel pics too, my happy place also.

  4. That looks like so much fun. I can't to move to the gulf coast at the beginning of the year. The Tampa area has so much more culture than Orlando.

  5. Hi (again) Cheryl,
Thanks for the nice comment. I'm new to blogging and I'm just getting the hang of things. Yes, I know your boss. If you and your boss would ever like to come down and hit the beach I would love to take y'all. There is a secret spot on Bonita Beach that is awesome too. Casey, Carly, & I went last month. Shell pics are on my FB page & on the little slideshow on my blog page. You can delete this post - I couldn't find an email link to you.

    Take good care,

    Karen (Kaybe)

  7. I love your blog! It's got a personal touch to it with the family pics. You sure had a big job washing and drying all those shells! Thanx for the idea on how to do it with a bit of bleach! I love seashells, too! I just began a new blog with a nautical theme - The Beautiful Sea. Come visit when you click on my profile!
    - Bye!
