My New Favorite Hobby

This is not a good quality photo but this is what I've been doing whenever I am not gluing shells to things lol.
I love it. It's so peaceful. I can go by myself and I can even get some exercise out of it if I really want to ;)

I hope to get a waterproof case for my phone soon so I can take pictures while I'm on the water. You just never know what you will come across out there - I've seen sharks, rays and horseshoe crabs galore! The time this photo was taken, Husband and I were able to untangle a pelican who was hooked with a fishing line and caught in the mangroves. I was so glad we found him and were able to help him out...I wanted to keep him but Husband said no. I guess he wouldn't get along with the cats or something...?

Have a great weekend and get out there on the water if you can!

Fighting Conch Wreath

The wreath is complete! It's made from Florida fighting conchs I found on Caladesi Island. I love it.

Busy Busy

I guess these posts are starting to look pretty similar lol. But this is really what I've been up to! Besides planning my little sister's bridal shower, I've been making lots of things with my seashells.

Last week I started this wreath. I hope to get it on my etsy shop asap!

I also made a trip across the street the other day to gather more oyster shells.

They look much better on a frame or mirror!

And I completed this frame. It's made with fragments of Florida Fighting Conchs - one of my favorites.

Overall I've had a productive week, but I always feel like there is more to do...
Right now my dryer is broken so that must be my next task! Have a great Monday everyone.

Creations

I've been creating away with all the shells I have been collecting in Fort Lauderdale.
If you like anything you see, visit me on Etsy :)

I found all this coral in Lighthouse Pointe - I love coral!

Weekend

Last weekend I went home to Coral Springs. I had many goals for the 6 days I was home. First, I have been invited to sell some of my products at JB's on the Beach in Deerfield Beach.
I am so excited! I have spent the last few weeks creating new frames, nightlights and wine stoppers for my debut at JB's.

Here are some of the products I made for the restaurant. If you see anything you like, post a comment and I will re-create it for you :)

My family and I have been patrons of JB's on the Beach for years and I am so grateful for the opportunity they are giving me. The food is to die for and so is the atmosphere - if you are ever in the area check it out some time!

We are also right in the thick of it with wedding preparations. Here are 3 of my favorite women going over the guest list. They happen to be laughing here but I will tell you it is quite a stressful thing!

Other wedding goals include updating mom and dad's home with a bit of paint, new floors and landscaping. With 4 girls to raise, it's hard to keep up with these things throughout the years!
Mom has been painting away....so I helped her with one last finishing touch in their bathroom.

Check out the before and after. I think these cabinets are grateful for the change and I know we are ;)

Things are really coming along...I hope you all are having a happy and productive Wednesday!

Mother's Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday. Husband and I spent the day with his mother and grandmother in Umatilla, FL. We had a delicious lunch at Pisces Rising in Mount Dora.

It's gonna be a busy week - I'd better get going! Have a great Monday everyone.

Weddings

I have been so busy preparing for my little sister's Bridal Shower...what a job.
Last week I got the invitations out. I'm so glad to have this task off of my plate.

I have also been creating quite a few shell frames and accessories. I will share them with you soon!
