Autum Leaves

So I guess it's officially Fall now.

It sure doesn't feel like it in Florida! But I guess that means I get to start baking delicious treats made with pumpkin, apples and cinnamon.

I am off to Michigan next week to see my Grandparents, Aunt and Uncle and THIS tree!
I shall start my baking there...more pictures to come soon :)

Hangin with the Hillstrands

Kevin and I had quite an eventful weekend.
We went to the Tampa Bay Boat Show on Saturday to meet some of the coolest guys around....Andy and Jonathan Hillstrand from Deadliest Catch!

Deadliest catch is probably our favorite show and when husband and I heard on the radio that these guys were going to be right around the corner from us - there was no stopping us.

Johnathan and Andy are Captains of the Time Bandit. Not only did they stand there for hours for their fans, but they signed whatever we had, took as many pictures as we wanted and talked with us for quite a bit. So cool!

New Beginnings

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend.
I am sorry for the boring blog lately-I have been a little bit busy.

I have a lot of posts to catch up on but I am afraid it will still be a little while....tomorrow I start my new job in Tampa. So until I learn the ropes, I imagine my postings will remain a little weak.

But here is a photo of Husband & me and our friends Albert and Carolyn in the Magic Kingdom last week. Miss you guys!

Good Things Come In Threes

Last project of the week. I am tired :)

They can be a set or perhaps each little mirror will find a separate home.
I am off to Orlando this weekend. And we hope to head over to Cape Canaveral tonight with our friends to try to catch the shuttle launch. We are praying for a go.

Accessories From The Sea

I have been quite inspired these days....hence the product: Seashell Fan Pulls!

The latest project is complete! This mirror/hanger was made for Linda at Lime in the Coconut.

It is made entirely of seashells that I picked up while on vacation in Sanibel Island.
It should be on her doorstep any day now and I sure hope she likes it.

Little Things

A tad more decor in the new place...

I need reminders of the ocean and my favorite spots anywhere I can get them-even in the laundry room. I find laundry to be less of a chore this way ;)


My grandmother has been giving me all of her old postcards upon my request. I haven't been able to figure out what exactly I wanted to do with them but I came up with a little something recently.

I decided to put all the Tampa, Clearwater, St. Pete postcards on this medicine cabinet door. It is hanging in the loft where I keep crafts and guests.
