Creation Station

This morning I got the itch. This week was my first week at my new job. And I love it! My new boss is just as crazy about shells and Sanibel Island as I am so we have a lot in common. Anyway I think that's what got me going again.
I haven't been able to finish some of the frames I have been working on so... I just started new ones ;)

Until I have a house big enough for my own room/area - this is where it all goes down.

I seem to find a lot of these Coquina's and I thought a little frame would be cute.

These are also everywhere in Sanibel. I have no idea what they're called.

I did not find these shells below - I think my mother in law actually gave them to me. Anyway, I had just enough for a frame.

I went to Michaels yesterday for glue sticks and I found wine bottle stoppers! I couldn't resist.

So, all of these items are for sale in my Etsy shop. I can't wait to finish the others!

  2. Cheryl, the shells that you didn't know the name of, are called Spiny Jewel Box. Before being rolled around in the sand for a long time, those rows of little bumps would have been tubular spines sticking up. We don't find many here that have spines left on them. They made a pretty frame. :)
