Sanibel Finds

I am STILL cleaning shells from our Sanibel trip...but I LOVE it! We had so many this year - my niece and my mom were right there with me so we have quite a collection.

Here are some rinsing in the sink.

I do a small amount of bleach in with some hot water...then rinse in cold water.

It is quite a process.

Here are some of my favorite finds, including a King Crown Conch which I found for the first time this year.

There is such a variety found on Sanibel Island. I have been to many beaches in Florida and I am still exploring, but I have yet to find a spot with so many different varieties of shells.

Hope your Wednesday is wonderful. Thanks for stopping by!

  4. You look like you had a ball!!!You found just about everything, didn't you. it is a real process to clean them all but it's like finding them all over again when you line them up to dry, right? I am still hoping to get up your way to check out your shelling about St Pete and Honeymoon Island.

  5. Oh my - these are beautiful. You really did very well with your shelling. I went the weekend of August 16th - and I was happy with my shells - but these - they are fantastic. I am going to go back and study the photos...is that coral I see? Wow love it.
