Disney Preview

Just a little peak at our girls Disney weekend...

I had so much fun meeting and spending time with Brittany's friends. They are great girls. and of course I had a blast with my friend Bride as usual!

Does anybody know where this is??

Julie jumped over some Epcot water (and some kids ;)

On Sunday we all had some lunch in Downtown Disney.

I will post more later but I gotta get to the laundry and dishes still today - I am behind!

Magnolias In Bloom

Husband picked me a beautiful magnolia flower last night. I was a little nervous about it because I didn't want to ruin the tree but he said it was fine. Trees need to be pruned and if we didn't pick it, it would be dead tomorrow. I thought that was a pretty decent answer :)

We have lots of magnolia trees in our community. They are so beautiful and this one happened to smell particularly good. I will try to control myself with the gardenias...

I am going on a girls getaway tomorrow so I will not be around until Monday or so. I hope everyone has a fantastic remainder of the week and a wonderful weekend!

Fishing Weekend

What a great weekend, I hope it was the same for you all.

We had our good friend George come up for the weekend and he brought is super nice flats boat for us to play on. I think we spent more time on the water this weekend than we did on land - which is just the way I like it.

Unfortunately, we didn't have much luck with the fishes. Of course it had nothing to do with our skills. The fish just didn't want to be where we were!
Even if the fish were stubborn, it was nice just to be out on the water with good friends.

We spent Saturday around Fort De Soto and the boys did catch a couple trout before I got there.
(Maybe I was bad luck? Nah...can't be)

Sunday we fished the mangroves behind our apartment.

We saw lots of rays.

And we fished that bridge back there on the left. We saw a huge black drum or red drum, I can't remember. But he didn't want to get caught either.

We thought for sure we would catch something back here but we just saw lots of rays and mullet.

Captain Matt Pruiett.

Captain Husband Elmore.
Captain George Fee.

We saw lots of dolphins.

George got sunburned on his feet.
I don't think this picture really shows how badly sunburned his feet are. They were painful just to look at.

And we had dinner by another beautiful sunset.

Thrift Store Finds

So, I have a new job as you all know and get this: my new boss loves shells. She also loves thrifting and garage saling! Well, she found this seashell book(I think at a garage sale) and gave it to me. Isn't that nice? I never had one before now...Thanks Kelly!

Now I will know the types of shells I am using for my crafts.

And I happened to find this at a thrift store the other day for $3! Husband just loves all this shell stuff everywhere ;)

Happy Friday everyone - Have a great weekend!!

Rocky Point Oysters

Are you all as busy as I am this week? It's crazy for me but you know, I would rather be busy than not...

First things first - I must say Happy Birthday to my friend Carolyn. It was actually yesterday but I did not have a chance to get her on here. So I hope your day was great Bride!!! (Isn't she pretty?)

Second, I finished a frame last night. It is made from oysters I found on the causeway by my house. Looking at this makes me want some oysters to eat!

And here is a nightlight I made for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. We were able to spend the weekend with her and her parents and we had a wonderful time.

I hope you all enjoyed your mothers this weekend. Have a great Tuesday!

Creation Station

This morning I got the itch. This week was my first week at my new job. And I love it! My new boss is just as crazy about shells and Sanibel Island as I am so we have a lot in common. Anyway I think that's what got me going again.
I haven't been able to finish some of the frames I have been working on so... I just started new ones ;)

Until I have a house big enough for my own room/area - this is where it all goes down.

I seem to find a lot of these Coquina's and I thought a little frame would be cute.

These are also everywhere in Sanibel. I have no idea what they're called.

I did not find these shells below - I think my mother in law actually gave them to me. Anyway, I had just enough for a frame.

I went to Michaels yesterday for glue sticks and I found wine bottle stoppers! I couldn't resist.

So, all of these items are for sale in my Etsy shop. I can't wait to finish the others!

Family Time and Celebrations!

This weekend we were all over the state! We visited Husband's family for a pre-mother's day celebration. We spent time with Granny and Husband's father (who's Birthday is next week).

We had lots of good food prepared buy Chef Dawn. We ate in the backyard and I don't know if any of you noticed but it was a scorching hot weekend!

On Sunday we drove to Ft. Myers where my littlest sister, the baby, graduated from college! Time really flies...

Here is Mr. Elmore and his mother, Granny. Granny has the floor...

We looooove Dawn's food. Here she is slicing away.

Chicken, pork, settler beans and sloppy joes...what more can you ask for?!

Saturday evening we stayed in Brittany's apartment one last time...:(
And on Sunday we all got ready with B for her big day.

Here is her Tri Delta cap she made, which was so cool cause we knew where she was from high up in the stadium. See all the boxes?

My mom and 2 of my sisters getting ready and apparently having a good time.

Isn't she beautiful?! She now has a degree in Communications (like me!) with a focus in Public Relations and a minor in....something.

Way to Go Brittany!!!!!
